Pigs dropping leather

As you probably know pigs are an animal that not worth breeding, its cost you carrots potatoes or beetroots which can be expansive if you didn't find a village.
But the main problem is the cow, a much better animal cheaper to breed (wheat is easy to get item) gives both food and leather and you can milk it.
So what i think should be done to make the pigs much more appealing to be part of any player livestock is to give them a new drop and that is leather, but wait not the same amount as the cow, something like double than the cows' leather drop quantity (around 2-4).

    Pigs don't have the skin of a Cow so they can't drop Leather.

    Pigs should have leather, yes. (so should sheep, technically)

    The problem with making pigs drop leather is that it just takes away uniqueness from cows while still not fixing the problem. Cows would still provide meat, leather, and milk, while pigs would only provide the first two.

    What pigs need are a unique feature (not even necessarily a drop) that no other mob has. Adding features that other mobs already have just takes uniqueness away from them without adding any to pigs.
