open/close inventory as one button

I would like to use the open inventory button with the same key to close it. example: pressing middle mouse button to open and close instead of esc to close.

    Have you tried using e to close? I swear this already works this way.

    Seems to stop working when you bind to another key though. I prefer to align inventory key with games that use E for leaning, but when you change the bind, the command to close stops working.

    Please add this. I want to bind inventory to mouse 4 but I can't close the inventory.

    From some light testing, it seems that it can be rebound to many other keys and retain full functionality. But it absolutely CANNOT be bound to any mouse button or it just will not close the inventory. I would LOVE to be able to bind this to button 5 and not have to perform any major hand Olympics everytime I would like to leave my inventory. I'm sure there are MANY other people in the community who feel the same way, but just end up "dealing with it" so to speak.
