Footstep particles on sand and snow

I would really like to see the footsteps on snow and maybe sand. The texture already exists in the game files, so I think it's going to be a nice little addition to the game.

I think the best way to implement this is to make them disappear in 2-3 seconds, so it doesn't lag a lot, even if you're running circles. Also, I think two different textures for snow and sand should be made. The existing one could be used for snow, and a lighter variation of that texture would be nice for sand.

P.S. I found out there's a mod adding this, but it's made for an older version
