Using some simple pre-existing blocks, like Iron Bars that is placed in a fashion that could satisfy a condition that would attract a lightning strike to the object. Like fashioning a lightning rod.
There could be some uses for this, involving mobs and blocks.
Making some components that uses electricity, behaving slightly different than normal Redstone current. Such as magnetism, inductance, arcs; like having the ability to have a current jump from one spot to another and through spaces that wouldn't be able to be done with Redstone.
These components could be a block that can be charged and drained, like a capacitor. Sort of how a pulse extender could work, but holds longer charges and be more compact.
Coils for inductance, magnetism and step up and step down transformers, or for creating arcs
The components using electricity can work in tandem with Redstone components, or have a component that can convert the two to work together.
