(Java) Minecraft Opensource

We all love doing amazing things in Minecraft, but the Minecraft Java source code is not the best, so sometimes it's not easy to understand it to create new, impressive features on the Minecraft servers around the world.

In addition, the strength of the Minecraft community in development could be of great help. People are currently working in a variety of places (MCP, Forge, Bukkit, Spigot, PaperSpigot, Sponge, Glowstone ...) and bundling the developers could add much more value.

That's why I want Minecraft to be available on Github!

  Although I believe this most likely won't happen to the extent of what most people want.

   

  I do have a compromise I believe would be plausible. That which was mentioned a sentence before is that they could release the main MC server server so that modders and Spigot (+ forks) would be able to contribute directly to the vanilla server with more performance improvements.
