Okay so what if you were to add, weekends. Think about it! In real life adult people work during the week, but relax during the Saturday and Sunday. Minecraft already has a timer built in that keeps track of how many in game days in you are in any given world. What if you were to use that timer to set it so that villagers do the normal working at their work stations like you have already implemented for 5 in game days, then "relax" for 2 in game days. There "relaxing" could be a mix of the evening gossips they already do on work days, and maybe some other activities. For instance spending time with their "families" what if when a villager makes a child villager with another villager, the code could somehow remember those villagers to be a "family" until the child grows up. during that time the parents could only make more child villagers with each other. And speaking of the children, lets not forget, that children don't only play around... If you add weekends to "relax" on, then you would also need the weekdays, to entail some kind of work, of course the adults have their jobs, but what if the children had school. You could add a new villager profession: The Teacher. Every village would spawn wit a schoolhouse, the work station block for the teacher (maybe the teacher's desk?) would be at one end of the schoolhouse, and there would be plenty of room for the kids. When a village gets a child villager in it, one of the adults would change profession to become the teacher, then from that point on, every weekday(the days the adults use their work stations) The teacher would stand in front of the teacher's desk, facing the area the kids would be, and the child villagers gather in the school house. When the villagers stop working for the day and go to gossip, the ones who are parents would first stop at the school house and pick up their children. Then the families would go to the town center together. If you really wanted, you could make it so that there would be a rare chance that a few children, stay at "home" (which would be the same house the parent villager claims) in stead of going to school, this would represent the homeschoolers. Under normal circumstances, the teacher could not be traded with(similar to the nit-wit) but every once and a while(this would be a random occurrence much like the wandering trader shows up randomly), The teacher and the children would stand in a group outside the schoolhouse. This would simulate a school fundraiser. If this falls on a weekday it happens all day in stead of the regular "clasess"(a.k.a the meating inside the schoolhouse), and if it falls on a weekend it only happens until the sun reaches it's peak in the sky (noon). During this time, the teacher and the children could be traded with. The code would randomly choose each time what kind of a fundraiser it is. It could be a bake sail, in which they would sell cookies, cakes, pies, or bread (any combination). I don't know what any of the other options would be (Get creative!)
Also you guys are already making it so child villagers will play around the village, but what if they could play more that one game? So far they play something akin to tag, where one child is chased around by the rest of them. But what about some others. Maybe 'Hide and Go Seek' one child goes to the town center and stays still for a few minutes. The others go and "hide" around the village. The code could acknowledge a few different hiding spots, each one the other kids are hiding in, as well as 2 false spots per hiding child, then it randomly chooses one for the "seeker" to pathfind to. This gives them a one in 3 chance of finding the one of the other kids, then they keep looking 'til they have found them all. Once you have the code for 'Hide and Go Seek' another game they could play is a game called 'Sardines' It's basically 'Hide and Go Seek' but only one child hides, and the rest look for them. Once one of the children has found the one hiding, they hide near them, then anyone who finds either of them does the same, first one to find the first hider, is the next to be "it".
so yeah. This Idea suggests a few things which all work together.
Weekends
School for child villagers
A schoolhouse in the village
families of villagers
Teachers as a villager profession
A teachers desk as the teacher's work station
School fundraisers as a way to trade with teachers and child villagers
And more games for the child villagers to play
I would love to see these be implemented in Minecraft 1.14 or any other update having to do with villager, I understand you may not have time to put in 1.14, but if you could please consider putting in the game eventually, that would be amazing. Thank you So much for reading though this very long post, sorry if I wasted your time.
(yes I am aware that they are called baby villagers and not child villagers, but I think they are more like small children than actual babies, that is why I refer to them as child villagers :) )
