@t a selector for tile entities

@t would select tile entities. This would be very useful in many different ways. For instance, we could find all tile entities in a large area without scanning through every block

What do you mean by tile entities? like falling sand?

I think he means block entities, which are unrelated to entities like falling blocks or zombies or items. Block entities are how Minecraft stores NBT data for blocks. For example, every chest has a block entity associated with it that contains information on the coordinates of the chest, the contents of the chest, the loot table used by the chest, etc.
