Adjustable Shield Button

I'm trying to play the bedrock edition
can we have the shields use left click or left trigger because its so annoying to shift for it.
On phones its easier
for controller & mice & keyboard users
a bit difficult also theres like a 0.5 second delay before the shield blocks anything so Mojang Please fix

    Please make it right-click like for Java, it's so annoying when you're running and suddenly have to shift to use the shield. Right-click is much easier

    This annoyed me the most when i started playing bedrock, hopefully it comes once they revamp the combat.

    Almost 4 years later, I am honestly shocked they haven't fixed this yet. Why is no one else talking about this??

    Like, they have the time to add an EMOTE button, yet they haven't thought to give us an option to separate the shield button from the crouching button.

    And yes, it's true, unless I shield a couple of seconds in advance, skeleton arrows seem to go through my shield about 50% of the time. (There's a delay, I swear it's not a skill issue)

    This is coming from a Java fan, so I'm probably biased, but like, lets be honest, crouching to use the shield is only useful on mobile, and every other platform has the buttons available for there to be an option to change it. (It should default to the "Use item/Place block" button like it's superior sibling, Java Edition)

    I'm a PC user, so when I play with my Console friends, I cannot use the shield due to it being a glorified screen-blocker, and relying on it tends to get me killed.

    TL;DR - I think I can safely speak for all non-mobile users when I say that shield crouching must go.

    I refuse to use a shield until this is added.  I have been using bedrock with friends and this is the bane of my existence.  This hurts my soul.  Also, this post is like almost seven years old.

    Mojang, please fix
