Player Shouldn't Need Xbox Live To Play On Servers

I remember when the 1.2.0 Better Together (gee, I wonder where they got THAT name from [note the obvious sarcastic sarcasm]) Update came out for Bedrock. I was excited for another update, but when I opened up the app, something popped up saying to make an Xbox Live account, so I tried. But for some reason, I couldn't get it to work. This annoyed me slightly that I still had to do LAN or get on a sever to play with someone, but I spent most of my time on servers anyway, so it wasn't that bad. However, they then changed it so you needed XL for servers, so I was just stuck with single player and LAN for ONE AND A HALF YEARS until I finally got it to work (if I didn't I wouldn't be able to suggest things on this site). Though it's fair that players without XL can't play with friends over long distances or realms, they should be able to play servers. I almost stopped playing the game limited without it. Please, have mercy on those without XL.

    So...

    For what reason can’t you make a xBox live account? I think everyone should be able to make one. It is simple as an email account, and it is easier to create than an Apple ID. This way there is no reason that people can’t create one. (Unless they don’t have a email, a phone number, and a internet.)

    1: I couldn't make an xbox live account, not can't. 2: There are some situations where people can't, and we need to let them get back into the world.

    Xbox Live is required to play online. So maybe you should suggest this to the Xbox team instead? (Just saying)

    Yeah, there should be a way to log in with Mojang account.

    Better authentication. Even if the server requires you to enter a password, you could still pass-guess an admin or the owner on a server and greif it. Requiring Xbox Live means they need your email address. However, servers should have an option to disable online mode similar to java servers, you dont need to sign in to xbl. Force disconnecting signed out players on an online mode server would be a good idea.

    yes this is unfair to players who cant even make an acount (me ) as they cant get on servers please please please fix this

    • 1 some kids are to young to get an acount

    God xbox live gold is EXPENSIVE. 20 dollars a month. Xbox and minecraft are ALREADY NOT FREE. Microsoft is treating this like we got this for free. Like a free - to - play sort of thing. If you own a realm, you also have TO PAY extra to even USE it.

    It's a requirement due to the fact that Minecraft Bedrock Multiplayer is powered by Xbox Live, unlike Java Edition. For everyone who wants other sign in options, that probably won't happen. Microsoft can't just switch to Mojang Accounts. Plus, people who pirate Minecraft Bedrock will be able to play on servers for free.

    Pls everyone vote this because my i like servers so!! So!! Much and i dont have money to just pay every month and Mojang if you reading this PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!MAKE MINECRAFT SERVERS WITHOUT XBOX LIVE!!!😢 PLUS IM PLAYING MINECRAFT FROM WHEN I WAS 4 YEARS OLD SO IF THAT DOES MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU MAKE SOMETHING FOR US WHO VOTED FOR THIS....EVERYONE DOES NOT HAVE MONEY TO PAY JUST PLAY AND HAVE FUN😢😢😢

    Fr, minecraft aint free and having to pay either 7 or 20 dollars a month just to play on servers is bs
