When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Torch Light Detector

I think the daylight detector is a missed opportunity. If it could detect block light level it would be a lot more useful. Turn a light on and see how much light reaches the detector as it outputs more or less redstone signal. Light levels go from 0-15, so does redstone.

You could use this to check if monsters will spawn or as a form of wireless redstone. This should be a new block called Light Sensor or something like that.

    I agree. I'm using a daylight sensor with a piston to make a synced clock. However, the clock breaks at night as I cannot detect artificial sources of light. When I say synced clock, I mean the clock no matter where you build it (providing it has direct access to sunlight), it will send a one second pulse at the same exact time as every other synced clock in the world.
