Upgradeable Snow Golems

(Please forgive me if this isn’t in the right topic) Alright so, we all know the Snow Golems have only 2 uses, snow generation and guarding a nether portal just Incase a blaze manages to sneak its way through right? Why not give them at least some sort of defensive use, but of course not too much as they are extremely cheap to make 

So to upgrade a Snow Golem you would give it a piece of regular stone or a a random amount melon slices kind of like how you would tame a dog

The stone would make the snow balls filled with rocks, and as a result do the damage of 2 punches and the melon slices would make the Golem immune to rain and take less damage in general (note: the Golems would have a little melon hat that wouldn’t completely cover its face after taking the slices)
