A Notification Button on the Main Screen to hold any and all Notifications you receive.
Throughout playing Minecraft, we are sometimes greeted with a notification saying we have received a game invite from a friend or that a piece of content is downloaded. But these only stay here for a short period of time on a small portion of the screen. Well why not a place where are stored all of the time? This would have a number of positive and negative outcomes in my opinion.
Positive:
- It would be able to notify you when a piece of content you OWN (Not have downloaded) on the marketplace got an update and you want to see what it was.
- A place to see who invited you to a game in case you had to do a chore or something else. You would NOT be able to join the world of the player unless they were inside of it.
- A place for error messages for packs to be stored. In case you had a missing part or something like that.
Negatives:
- It could get annoying if you get spammed with game notifications every day.
- You may not want to constantly press into it every day.
However, I have solutions for the negatives. You could have the option in settings menu to disable ANY and ALL notifications if you don't want to get them. You would only have to do it once and it would never send you a notification of the particular section if you do not want it to. It would pass on to every device that you own as well.
Here is a concept image I made of the main menu screen with the button. Blue would mean you have new notifications and grey would mean you have no new notifications.
