the 3 most iconic hostile mobs are probably the creeper, zombie, and the skeleton. we already have the husk and the stray, why not add a new variant of the creeper? since the husk spawns in the desert, and the stray spawns in icy biomes, perhaps we could make this new type of creeper variant spawn in the jungle, or swamp. as notch said, "I imagine them as being made out of leaves or similar. I'm not sure why they explode." this could allow for the creeper to have some sort of wet foliage, or overgrown aesthetic to it to fit with the theme of being some sort of camouflaged monster inside of a damp, humid biome. since the husk and stray inflict hunger and slowness respectively, allowing for this new type of creeper to inflict something like around 10-30 seconds of poison or blindness upon exploding near the player, about 2 times the creepers current explosion radius, almost guaranteeing a debuff. i personally believe would benefit the swamp and jungle, allowing for them to be more dangerous and feel less empty (except for the jungle, seeing as it's been added onto repeatedly in the last few updates i feel like it'd be a better fit for the swamp, seeing as the only unique mobs are the slime and witch.)
TL;DR
new creeper, yippee.
spawns in the jungle/swamp. (i believe swamp is a better pick imo)
inflicts around 10-30 seconds of poison/blindness when the creeper explodes, about 2x the size of the explosion is the range.
wet and damp foliage on the creeper, mimicking the jungle/swamp's overall feel and theme, making it feel more like the silent camouflaged killer it was originally made to be, perhaps a little bigger.
please comment if you have any more changes to add, thanks. though, i don't imagine there would be many because the husk and stray were practically the same mobs, but with potion effects.
