The only thing to do in the Nether is explore Nether fortresses and maybe fight the Wither. I propose that Mojang reimplements the old obsidian Nether Spire into Minecraft as a new structure. It would not be very hard for them to do as they already have the preexisting asset from when it was in the Pocket Edition.
Nether Spire: Like this but made of obsidian-

Here are some simple changes that could help with improving on the existing structure:
-Create an easy way for player to get up and down each floor of the structure. Obviously the simplest method is to use a staircase.
-Possibly add more floors to the structure. The current Nether Spire has three floors, the top being the smallest and the bottom being the largest. All Mojang would need to do is either expand the sizes of the floors or add more.
-Reimplement the glowing obsidian block into the game as the lightsource for the Spire. The structure could be lit up by the glowing obsidian and if the player wants to collect them, they will need a Silk Touch pickaxe to prevent it from turning into regular obsidian. This would give the structure more use as it could be the only location this block is found in. (Link to offical Minecraft wiki for more info.)

-The Nether Spire should act like a dungeon that houses a boss/miniboss. The boss would be found opposite of the entrance into the structure, so if Mojang made the entrance the top floor, it would be found on the bottom floor, or vise versa. An easy way to do this would be to use the Nether Reactor Core as a boss summoner, but that block might have a better use elsewhere. I think that the boss should be related to Mob D as it is a Nether looking enemy and an asset they also have.

As I have stated, the concept behind adding these obsolete assets would give them a new purpose in Minecraft, so many player who are nostalgic of them would likely find newfound interest in the game.
If anyone else has suggestions that could improve on this idea, please suggest away.
