Essentially the rules regarding promotional material are in which you cannot use shaders or different texture packs to record Marketplace Trailers, as it is misleading and could confuse/manipulate the consumer.
However, i'm not proposing a change to that rule, but I believe that 3D Animation should be exempt, and I will state the PROs of allowing build teams to hire animators for trailers, and having a much higher standard.
1.) Much more hype, higher sales, and overall traction towards Marketplace Partners
2.) Provide animators the ability to produce high end production trailers for Adventure Map trailers, etc.
Take Minecraft : Dungeons for example! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJicIi8Lvx0&t=12s
This trailer is amazing, now imagine if we had this for Marketplace Trailers?
Counterpoint : You may be thinking if 3D animation will be misleading to customers buying a product. Well companies around the world already handle this situation easily by stating in trailers that the cinematic is NOT representative of in game footage if its not included. A rule to avoid any questions is that at the beginning or stated somewhere in the trailer if footage is not from in game, it must be stated in the trailer to avoid misleading consumers.
TLDR : Allow 3D Trailers in Marketplace because they would look amazing, support animators and build teams, artists, and drive higher sales without misleading customers
