When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

I think this would be cool, however you'd have to reckon with the fact that you can have 6 different item frames all immediately in front of a dispenser at a time and what would be the order of which frame gets placed first. There would also be a number of items that would try and do their specific functions instead of being placed in the item frame. If it just worked for things like maps though it'd still be pretty dope.

It this was a feature I could make a slot machine in Minecraft! I need more ways to become a capitalist in my survival world

I think this is a good idea, but my thought: if an item frame is on a dispenser, the dispenser could put the item in the frame and pull it back out of the item frame.  Like it does with a water bucket placing a water source block and sucking it back up into the bucket, but in reverse.

This would be good for shop owners as they could show what they have in stock and what isn’t in stock from the outside of the building as well as inside the shop.  When out of stock, the dispenser pulls the item from the frame back to the dispenser.    I think placing a comparator on the shop chest going into a repeater with an observer looking at the repeater.  The red stone from the observer should be able to hit the dispenser(s). Maybe a little more red stone?

I don't know if having dispensers place item frames is needed, but I really like the idea of being able to place and remove items from existing item frames. In particular, dispensers being able to place and remove maps from an item frame would open up a ton of potential for compact displays in survival minecraft (you can make massive 7-seg displays but they're hardly practical in survival). Those dedicated enough to fill out several maps' worth of blocks could make the display switch between different words or numbers by swapping out maps with a bit of redstone.
