'Clear' button & crafting type icons in the classic crafting grid UI

For example: sometimes, after crafting items directly from the recipe book, like a little bunch of stone swords, would be liked to do just next after to fuse two same-type items, like uuhh... a very damaged stone sword with another but newer stone sword from that bunch just have crafted. But, sometimes uhh, it's kinda annoying to have to remove, one by one, all the items from the previous recipe, specially when the only thing next to do is just to combine two single items each in 1 single slot of the 2x2/3x3 grid.

Also, though the most of the crafting work is done directly with the recipe book placing, some other times a manual placing over the grid is still a good option to craft, and then those icons come in handy.
