Keyboard Flying

Pressing the sprint key (CTRL) and SPACE makes you fly upwards faster in Creative mode

When flying in Creative mode, you can increase your forward speed by sprinting and move downwards quickly by double-tapping space to stop flying (barring lag). However, flying upwards is rather slow, and there's no way to make it faster without using commands, which aren't accessible for everyone.
