- Re-imagining MineCon Earth's Mob C (Pictures included!)
Introduction
This suggestion is based on MineCon Earth 2017's Mob C, the Great Hunger. I will be completely reworking the idea of the mob, and I will add many features related to it in this suggestion.
===The Chomper===
This big reptile will be found sleeping in nests in jungles. Next to it will be an Enchanting Tome, which you can steal (Similarly to the Frostmaw from Mowzie's Mobs) for use later, or to make a possible fight with the Chomper a lot easier.
Features

The Chomper is slow, but very tough thanks to its scales. Projectiles will bounce right off of its skin!

When the Chomper's target is too far away, it can burrow through soft blocks to quickly get to them, also allowing it to avoid damage. It will only come back up once it's reached its target, it can't sense anything above it or if it's been burrowed for too long.

If you failed to steal the Enchanting Tome while the Chomper slept, it can use its magical powers to gain effects. For example, it will gain Resistance if your armor has Protection.

When the Chomper reaches its target, while burrowed or while above ground, it will eat them instantly! The Chomper will slowly chew on its victim until it dies, and it will spit out any items the victim carried. Players must punch rapidly while in its mouth to escape.

Weaknesses

When burrowed, the Chomper can mistake vibrations above from other mobs as its initial target, and start following them instead. It can also be hurt by explosives, which is the only way you can hurt it while it's underground.

If the Chomper eats an explosive, it will explode in its mouth, doing serious damage, while also stopping it from attacking & using the Enchanting Tome for some time after.

===Chomper Egg, Pet & Mount===
Rarely, a large egg can be found in the nests. You can take it home after killing its mother (You monster), and keep it in a warm place so it can hatch after a few days.
Chomper Pet
After hatching, the Baby Chomper will recognise the first player it sees as its owner, which it will follow, serve & protect for the next few weeks. They can be right-clicked to make them sit.
Over time, your Chomper will grow, gaining more health, dealing more damage, until it becomes as big as its mother. You can also feed it cocoa beans to speed up this process.

Chomper Mount
A docile Chomper that walks around randomly like any other idle animal. You can right-click it to jump in its mouth & control its movement with its tongue (Like a strange joystick). It can be used as a slow mount that fully covers you from harm, but it can also be used to burrow through soft blocks!
Unfortunately, this doesn't come to your doorstep for free...
===Poachers===
Although all illagers will now attack any age of Chomper, a new band of illagers called the Poachers will go hunting for your exotic pets with bows & spears.
Spawning
There are 3 ways you can find poachers:

They will spawn naturally in jungle & savanna biomes, replacing illager patrols.

Poacher hideouts are small houses that blend in with the eviroment in jungles & savannas that replace the illager outposts.

Leaving friendly ocelots, tamed parrots, tamed Chompers, Chomper mounts or chomper eggs unattended will call on a gang of Poachers.
===Items===
Chomper Scales
Used for a new armor type! It's as strong as chainmail, but projectiles bounce right off! No need for a shield, but it's all locked behind our new mini-boss...
For this suggestion the scales are a darker version of the Naga Scales from the Twilight Forest mod, but they'd look more original if they were to be fully added.
Chomper Teeth
These have a number of uses:

They can disenchant items in anvils, in case you need to remove some curses or you're doing it to get some better enchants.

They can be placed on the ground to increase fall damage when landed on, unlike beds or hay that reduce it. You can put multiple teeth on the same space, like sea pickles, to increase fall damage even more!

You can brew potions of haste with them!... Nothing more to say really...
Enchanting Tome
Whether you stole it or claimed it from killing the Chomper, you will get the Enchanting Tome at some point. This will be required to craft enchanting tables from now on, instead of a regular old book. This will also be found in chests & priests will always trade one.
Spear
The brand new weapon used by poachers, which you can craft for yourself using the same recipe as a shovel, but diagonal.
Spears have an extra block of melee range, and can be thrown like a trident, albeit a bit shorter. They're cheap, but weak. Luckily, it has some enchantments to buff it up:

Skewer: Each level allows you to drag an extra mob with the spear until it lands (Up to lvl 3)

Range: An enchantment for all melee weapons that increases melee range by 0.25 blocks (Up to lvl 5)

Precise: An enchantment for all weapons, including ranged, that allows the weapon to ignore 10% of armor its victim is wearing (Up to lvl 5)
