Turkey

Hi, Minecraft. I would like to suggest a new mob to be added into the game. The mob I would love to see in the game is the "turkey". This mob should share some similarities with the chicken, but:

  • Spawn in specific biomes
  • Have their own skin/look
  • Travel in groups
  • Have it's own sounds
  • Drop "turkey meat" (new food source)
  • Craft using it's meat "turkey stew"
  • (Drop feathers which can be dyed and can be used instead or with helmet?)
  • Get hunted by other mobs (cats?)
  • Destroy farms by eating crops (fence needed for protection against them)
  • Tameable with seeds (for "turkey" farming)
  • Once tamed can be bred using seeds.
  • Once tamed won't destroy farms
  • (If not tamed, when attacked, they should attack and give the attacker small heart damage).

It would be a nice addition to the game, especially after Thanksgiving.

    I agree because. On Thanksgiving. We should have turkeys in. Minecraft. To kill to eat on Thanksgiving

    Maybe if they added seasons they’d be rare up until autumn in which they’d be common and could be tamed and bred with all seeds but quickest with pumpkin seeds as they’re both autumnal. I think they could be slower to farm than chickens but drop much better meat and more feathers as they’re bigger.

    They should spawn in forests, such as the roofed forests, and their existence would give a good reason for players to fence off crops. Although I don't exactly appreciate that they have to be tamed before breeding them, you don't do this with chickens or other domestic food animals.

    Which biomes would they spawn in? I was thinking maybe savannas and plains, but I'm not really sure where turkeys would mostly hang out in real life. I usually just see them on farms or near roads.

    i think they should spawn in birch forests because their are no special mobs for birch forests

    I think it’d be great if turkey’s specifically ate berries like how rabbits specifically eat carrots (tamed with carrots, bred with carrots, destroyed carrot farms / crops). We could have Turkeys do the same with the sweet berries and maybe a new berry bush is added for Hawthorn berries or firethorn berries or we just lump them together as bitter berries to play off of “sweet berries”. Terkeys are tamed and bred with sweet berries, bitter berries, and glow berries.
