Hyenas: Pets of Illagers

Hyenas: Pets of Illagers, which can also do their own little raids in savannas.

Hyenas


Hyenas would spawn as pet dogs for the evil illagers! as 1-3 in raids, and occasionally in woodland mansions in their own block built doggy beds! They would also uncommonly spawn in savannas and rarely attack in their own raids up to 6-8 hyenas, Attacking any savanna animals(and the player!) such as the Ostrich announced from Minecon Earth and any upcoming/unannounced savanna animals. You cannot tame a hyena as your own pet but you can instead bond and trust with it when found by themselves in savannas. when Bonded enough(AKA feed those hungry things a lot of meat.) it will call all it's allies to act upon as your pet wolves for a limited amount of time. and they will no longer attack you during hyena raids. they however, can not leave the savanna, or go underground or else they will lose all trust for you meaning you would have to start all over again. meaning you can't bring them with along your adventures. when you punch a neutral hyena it will become aggressive just like a normal wolf. will also lose trust and it will not drop any items when killed.

    First off, hyenas are not related to dogs, they are in their own family.  Secondly, I think Minecraft would make them have more realistic colors than in the picture as well as less evil eyes.  I do think that hyenas could raid villages on their own at night which would make sense.  I do like the idea of them attacking ostriches and the player because that makes sense, also the trust bonding.

    Ehh... It's a good idea just the Ravager. He had already been announced at Minecon Earth anyway.

    Cool idea but like sharks, hyenas also need a massive reputation recovery. Maybe as reskinned funny dogs. Their conservation is hurt by villain depiction

    Instead of having them involved with Illagers have them be stray. They can roam in warm biomes and travel in packs. They are also scavengers, so they should only attack if a mob/player is alone and maybe as well if you have a certain amount of health. like less than 1/2 your hearts.

    I like the Illager idea, however the wild ones should act like wolves when tamed.

    The illager relation is weird. Mojang doesn't want to misrepresent real life animals and having them be aligned with an evil faction that doesn't exist in real life is definitely misrepresentation. Pillagers have pets: the ravagers.
