Minecraft Bedrock Server Software Source Code Request

I have a fairly unrealistic request, but who said all requests had to be realistic? Either way, I was trying to run the server software (which I do understand is definitely in Alpha) and I thought that source code for the server + a Makefile would be nice to compile for different not-yet-supported platforms. While I totally understand the work required, and totally understand that I do not understand everything so I may have some issues with this post, and that the server software is in Alpha, but in the end I *hope* for a server software source for the bedrock software (when it finally is finished, of course as well).

    It would probably have licensing issues, it is essentially running a stripped down version of Minecraft.

    nathfreder i mean they could set an exception... hopefully. Too bad I don't know much about this stuff (I just want to be able to run a server on an old phone anyways lol)

    Pretty sure that port forwarding would achieve your goal. Before Realms, when it was still called MCPE, I used to run a dedicated local server for our family which was just an old Android that was plugged into (and taped to) the charger and kept in a drawer in my office. We didn't need to to use port fwd as it was just cast to our LAN, but it was online continuously for almost a year with no problems whatsoever.
