/gamemode creative or /gamemode 1

In minecraft 1.13 they changed the console and how it works. With this new console update they changed the /gamemode 0-4 commands. Now you have to type out the entire word: /gamemode survival or /gamemode creative. It's anoying since not only does it take an additional 2 seconds to write the entire word, but it is also anoying for people that are used to writing the numbers.

I think it should be changed in the newest snapshot. We don't have to remove the full /gamemode creative command, but just add back the /gamemode 0-4 command.

    The numeral IDs and shorthands were removed with good reason, they are arbitrary as I don't know what; you can just press tab to autocomplete the command, instead of writing it yourself.

    People need to learn how to cope with change; it's annoying at first, yes, but you get used to it rather quickly.

    I honestly hate this new "feature." why don't they just have both of the commands (0-4 and survival, creative etc.)?

    I hate that. I want to only have to type in C or S. nothing else.

    good idea im used using 1,2,3 and creative survival and spectator nah they shoud use both the new one is good for new players but they completally forgot about the old players

    I think they should definitely be re-added as shortcuts. I switch back and forth between versions a lot playing mods or on the latest version in multiplayer, and I just can never get used to not using the numbers.

    I think its better if you can use the names and numbers. Maybe you can only autocomplete the words that the new people are not confused...
