What people are lacking in most of their ideas is the basic fact of not enough info. And even if you have enough info, it still feels like you could add some more. Spiders are one of the most annoying mobs to deal with, literally all they do is run and jump at you with the rare occasion for a skeleton to spawn on it. Honestly, it's just not enough, I think that spiders should have a chance to spawn cobwebs and here's how it's reasonable and not OP:
1. Spiders should have a 1 of 8 chance to spawn a cobweb at their feet whenever they jump, however the cobwebs are similar to frosted ice and disappear in seconds and can't be harvested into string.
2. If successful on the cobwebs Spiders should have a 1 of 10 chance of instead of spawning beneathe the spider, it would shoot a cobwebs at you.
3. Spiders have a 100% chance of spawning a temporary cobweb if they fall to avoid fall damage.
4. All these cobwebs are temporary and cannot be obtained in any shape or form and will disappear in 2-3 seconds.
