The Pillagers and Illager beasts are excellent ideas for Minecraft. It adds a combat/strategy feeling to the game, trying to protect the villages and reinforcing them with iron golems, walls, traps, etc. But it isn't fully developed yet, which brings us to some ideas and thoughts on adding spawn points for these new mobs.
Adding a natural spawn point or some sort of structure for them is probably the next and most important improvement. It is really important to choose something adaptable (so further updates can keep changing it) and something that all/most players will enjoy. I personally think that these mobs have really great potential. The following lists the ideas me and my Minecraft group thought of while exploring the latest snapshot:
- The first concept is a cave or dungeon that spawns into a mountain or hill. This makes it hard to find but also rewarding and challenging. Inside a mountain, there would be more than enough space for a military base (depending on how big the mountain is). Of course, no evil lair is complete without a room for all the loot. Players who choose to enter this heavily guarded (by Pillagers and Illager beasts) base would be faced with a tough and skillful challenge that varies depending on the size and placement of the dungeon itself.

- The second spawn point is a fort/base that spawns much like the villages. This makes the Pillager group seem more like rivals/enemies of the villagers, yet more fortified and dangerous. In addition, players are met with the challenge of protecting the villages in any possible way, and also vanquishing active enemy forts. I'm very sure I'd speak for most players when I say: This would be an awesome addition to the game! :)
