Mega Slime (boss, overworld)

Minecraft has one problem, the bosses. The bosses in Minecraft are good, but you can only fight them near the end game. The Overworld lacks bossesn. Here is my idea for an Overworld boss.

Mega Slime (I don't have any better names): The Mega Slime is like a normal slime but with a blue color and is much bigger than a normal slime. This boss would summon slimes to help him. This boss would be pretty easy but it would give new players a boss to fight. Upon defeating it, it has a chance of dropping slime boots. They give you as much armor as leather armor, but, they give the player a jump boost and the player bounces (it doesn't negate fall damage though. This boss is meant to be for new players and it introduces them to bosses. They wouln't  be common, but they wouldn't be too rare to find.

    I feel like what OP suggested as a drop isn't quite enough. Maybe the reward would just be a large quantity of slimeballs, which could be made into the boots suggested by OP. Perhaps it'd be a special kind of slimeball, so that you couldn't get the reward without killing the mega slime. I also feel that the mega slime should have a special attack other than summoning other slimes, such as a slimeball projectile.
