(Beta/Snapshot Program) (1.8.0.11) Increased Console support for beta releases

I own a Nintendo Switch with the newer version of Minecraft installed onto it. I wanted to try out the beta, so I bought the switch online features and created a new world with experimental features turned on. When the world was created, not a single thing from the beta was added. Is it a bug? Or can only Windows 10, Java, Xbox 1, and android access beta? I hope to test the beta soon and not have to buy other versions of Minecraft just to have early access to several beta features.
