Pufferfish sand designs

In real life, pufferfish create interesting patterns in sand to attract a mate.

Perhaps a small tweak could be made to pufferfish AI, where, if they're alone and near a sand block with the top exposed, could try to make a pattern?

This could create sand particles flying off the block for a short while, and then the sand changes into a new block (Like how a path block is made) or the texture on the top of the sand block could change.
