In Bedrock, the block placing speed matches your movement, making it much easier to build without having to spam your mouse
On Java, it's 1 single speed and the speed chosen doesn't work well. It's faster than your walking speed but slower than your flying speed, meaning you'll have to either continuously destroy excess blocks or spam your mouse to fill in an area.
