Mostly likely yes, beyond cosmetic changes, i will update this post soon to go more in depth about gameplay mechanics aside from cosmetic changes. Thanks for suggesting the idea, Inkycatz.

No! I am afraid of Creepers! I don’t want them even scarier!

The "Camouflage Creepers" idea is genius, and it needs to be added.

It should work like this: Whatever biome the creeper is in he matches to.

    It's MineCraft's deadly chameleon.

He leaves a plains(green) and goes into a desert, he turns yellowish like the sand. And so forth for other biomes.

This would be a genius addon to the game because he's "the creeper". He has a player's footsteps sound, doesn't make any other until he's gonna explode, and now he would have biome camo.

    Please add this already.

I can agree with your ideas if the spawnrate is set down. Because Creepers are such a common mob, they are already very dangerous to every player and even their goods! If the spawnrate of Creepers would be set down, they could become a fantastic and camouflaged mob, because otherwise they would most certainly be too overpowered.

I love the idea of Creepers having a camo ability but just let it have no effects.

Good idea. I think creepers need an update. They're as bright as the grass textures were in the early days of minecraft. You can easily spot a creeper these days. Making creepers blend into the environment would help keep players on their toes and to be alert. In deserts creepers should look like cacti or dead bushes. In tundras they should look almost as white as snow. etc.

Yes I think camouflaged creepers would be really cool. Having them spáwn with a camouflage based on their biome of origin would be pretty awesome.

Since I think these a little too OP for common Overworld mobs, I think this should be a rarer creeper variant that takes a portion of normal creeper spawning rather than just all creepers having that. Not only that but common creepers are already too iconic to simply change forever. Camo creepers sound like a good name for these variant creepers.

Also, I wanted to add difficulty differences. In Easy, these creepers would be very rare and only be a few percent of creeper spawning. On Hard, most creepers would be camouflaged and normal creepers would actually be uncommon. Local difficulty could also change the chance of camo creepers to spawn just like it does with a few other factors.

EDIT: I think to make it more unique then simply camouflaged creepers, I wanted to add that I think they should use the same pallete as leaves from the biome they spawned in. This way it makes more sense lore wise as creepers are described as "leafy-like". I also don't think they should change colors based on biome, they are not chameleons, they simply spawn with colors based on where they originated from, so a desert creeper is always a desert creeper regardless of where it goes. it would also be much easier to implement if they just spawned a way and stayed like that forever.

I think they should only match the biomes variations in grass color so they stay green but more camouflaged greens for the different biomes.
Like the biomimicry of Boquila trifoliolata plants.

I agree that creepers should blend in with the environment/biome; it adds to what they already do. I think the differences between variants should only apply to their color, so we still keep a green creeper similar to the current one. I don't think any creeper variants should have shields or increased speed unless it's like a boss.
