So, there are bosses in Nether (Wither) and the End (dragon). So why not in the overworld? I think there should be a dungeon that is really really rare to find. The dungeon should be big and should contain some strong mobs like the spider jourkey(?) and the lightning creeper. There should be item chests on the way. A boss should be at the end of the maze like dungeon. The boss should be wither sized, and also wearing iron armor. It should also have small enderdragon wings and have around 50 health, but will not take knockback and fire damage. It should attack with 2 iron sword that inflicts poison for 2 seconds when hit. SInce the boss is strong, it should move slowly. When it's dead, it should drop one of the diamond armor (helmet or boots or etc.) at random. The randomly dropped diamond armor should have protection IV.
One way of locating this dungeoun is to just look for it. Another way is to find a villiager in green clothes and buy a map from him for 6 emeralds.
