Changes to Chicken Eggs and Chicken Breeding

The egg items that chickens passively drop should be called "Infertile Chicken Egg." Instead of dropping these eggs every 5 minutes, they must be fed seeds and then if they don't breed before the heart particles go away, they lay the infertile eggs.

Then, rather than giving live birth, bred chickens will lay "Fertile Chicken Eggs" which are blocks similar to the new turtle eggs.

    I think the 5 min feature should stay

    A) Because it would be a pain to have to feed the chickens, then get them not to breed every time you wanted an egg.

    B) Because domestic chickens lay infertile eggs anyway

    I agree that chicken breeding should change to be like the turtles.

    So I was about to submit my own idea where instead of the automatic egg laying, I was going to suggest that they only lay eggs when they are fed seeds and breed. This replaces the live birthing and reduces the number of chickens able to be bred whic is OP at the moment

    chickens should lay eggs despite not being fed but it should stop after a bit of not feeding them

    Makes more sense than chickens just producing eggs randomly that you can throw to make baby chickens, and breeding chickens causes the chicken to dodge the laws of egg-producing animals and somehow produce a live chicken child. And how can both parents produce eggs, I don't understand. Why don't we have roosters, Mojang!? Same with cows. We need bulls. They should be semi-hostile like polar bears and drop their hors which can be used to call horses. Boom.
