Bulls: The Protector of Cows and The Mighty Mount

Bulls should spawn and follow cows. If a cow is hit in the presence of a bull, the bull will charge after the attacker.

 Combat

When a bull hits its target, it launches them into the air like the iron golem.

Taming

To tame a bull you need to feed it hay bales or the player can repeatedly mount (like the horse but the player risks being launched high into the air). After it is tamed, you can saddle and ride it but instead of jumping you can make it charge forward. If it hits a mob while charging forward, the mob will be launched into the air.

Drops

Bulls drop 3-6 leather and rarely one hide.

Hide

Hide can be used to craft armor as tough as iron and which can be dyed like leather. While wearing the armor and sprinting the player can use the bull's charge ability.

    Wonderful idea. But I have two suggestions. Maybe the cows should follow the bulls instead of the bulls following the cows? Maybe it should be some sort of herding mechanic. And lastly, Hide shouldn’t be as good as iron, that’s a little OP. Maybe it should be as good as chainmail or gold?

    They should also breed all the cows. In real life cows don’t mate with each other so the bull should be able to breed 10 cows before it has a breeding cool down

    I like this idea, it's a good way to create herd mechanics as well as a way for animals to defend themselves, and it's not overly complicated. I think it could also be applied to other types of animals as well. Sheep could have Ram mobs to protect them, Pigs could have Boar mobs to protect them, Roosters for Chickens, etc.

    I  do like this idea but the problem is mobs are gender neutral. Bulls are Male cows. The cows in minecraft are both female and Male because they are gender neutral making the cows all bulls. If they do this they would have to make genders for all the mobs giving more work to Mojang Studios since they would have to make more mobs.

    I love this especially adding the protector mob for peaceful mobs but I do find the hide mechanics op

    I have one idea with your idea, when we kill a bull, we receive an Horn and a tail we can wear this, the Horn and tail scared some mobs (especially in the nether, because we are like Satan in the hell ahah, but in the nether to scared other mob, we have to color everything in red), but the cow follow us. When we kill him, we can receive too an head (one chance to have this, is pretty rare), and is not very easy to kill a bull, he have 30 points of Life. When we run in front of him, or being brutal (Kill mob or mob attack us), he want to charge the most closest PNJ or Player after that. When you left click on a bull with a bucket, you get taurine, the taurine results in no longer being hungry for 3 to 5 minutes, it also allows you to give more critical hits to mobs. Be careful, however, when you collect taurine you risk being charged if you are abrupt or if you scare him. Finally : Fire or fireworks scare away the bull.

    What do you think about that? :p

    I love the idea! I also think there should be different types of cows. Also the cows can maybe follow the bull in groups of 2-5?

    Great idea but minecraft animals are usually genderless (the exception might be the ender dragon). But we need more animal variety!

    I LOVE THIS IDEA !!, but one thing you should add is untamed bulls that can be ridden but buck this allows players to to rodeos. Also you can lead the bull but it will buck at any moment. Also pls add these features with horses so players can do brink ridding.
