I would like this aswell I see a few people on forums with the same issue. Shame they dont come here. I have tried to use a switch pro controller on my s10+. Atleast 2 buttons are not recognised at all R bumper and Y. So I cant even try remapping.

More controller support would be nice. Official Switch Pro- and Dualshock contoller support would be a good step. It would also be nice if they added the button prompts for each respected controller. They could easily do this because of the PS4 and Switch version of Minecraft Bedrock already having these.

Same for me using the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and i cant sprint. I've remapped the other buttons to work but you cant with sprint hopefully they fix this on the 1.17 update.

I would love this, if mojang can bring support to xbox controllers why not playstation and nintendo switch controllers, Both ps and switch are platforms for minecraft..

My problem is that the right stick on the Pro Controller is just too sensitive and the last time the left stick didn't work at all. No matter what I tried it wouldn't change. I do think that controller has stick drift, but it's not that bad on the Switch itself.

This and I especially would like gyro support. It's very hard to play an fps with precise input when just using sticks.
The ui is also really annoying when trying to map buttons to a controller. It looks like someone just copy and pasted the ui for mapping buttons onto a keyboard, but it'd be much more readable if it looked more like steam's controller settings.

Exactly, they can add support for Xbox controller but can even consider adding enough support for playstation/Nintendo switch pro controllers.
