Pets for Villagers.

What if some Villagers owned pets? Imagine walking into a villager home and they own a cat to keep creepers away, or a dog to protect themselves, and the dog will attack you if you attack it’s owner. I believe it would give villages a little more life.

    It would be so fun to walk up to a village and see a villager walking their dog on a lead!

    I love this idea!! They could have dogs and cats, and the pets would work with them. They could then have a "pet shop" in the village, where you can buy pet treats that heal you pet.

    I would love to see a villager have pets! I have a villager in a survival world and I would want him to have a dog or cat

    Maybe villagers could have fish tanks as well? Like Systemzee's scaffolding build hack? I'll admit, that would be sort of weird, though.

    villager cats really need a use, and this will make cats very useful. Imagine a small group of baby villagers frolicking in a meadow with their cat or dog, and it gives the villages some more story and detail.

    Just hand villagers the lead like you would attach to a fence post.
    The traveling villagers already demonstrate its possible.
    What'd be really cool is if it opens another trading option. A villager with a pet dog might also trade for bones. A horse owner will trade for wheat even if they're an armourer. Put owners for carrots etc.

    That's pretty cool. Maybe since they have dogs and cats, { probably mostly cats because they spawn in villages} it would stop them from dying in monster apocalypses.

    Yea! They need! But don't forget about baby villagers, and birds as pets too!

    Can you do pets based on the Biome like in the desert they could have llama (kinda like camels) then in the snow they could have Arctic foxes

    Yeah this one would be cool but what kind of pets are we talking about because like they ready have cats but would we be able to tame their pets for our own so we could have them

    I had an idea for a bug catcher villager who has pet spiders or termites that protect them.

    There could add a race of wolves that attack zombies that could help the villages

    Great idea. Also, if you read this comment, they could help out (dogs) in raids!
