This sounds like a fun option for people who want an increased difficulty.

@MinecraftMstr01 The whole point is that it's a gamerule, so people only turn it on if they want to. Obviously I realize that not everyone will want to play this way. Would you mind deleting your comment?

Hey, pretty good idea for people who want a challenge, not the best idea but I like it.

I actually had a similar idea where your health doesn't regenerate unless you drink a potion of regeneration or healing.  I'm voting!

You should be able to change how much health is lost (e.g: You could change it to 4 health lost, etc) Otherwise, great idea!

Good idea, InsideWindows26, and thanks for the support!

@MacchuPicchu96 I actually think this is a great idea, however I do have one qualm which I would tweak. If a heart was lost each time you died, then as the game gets harder (Nether/End), you would die more as you would have less health, ultimately spiralling. Therefore, I would suggest that an option be added where no hearts were lost, but there was a death cap, so that you could only die, say, ten times before the world locked you out. That way you don't run the risk of fighting the Ender Dragon with a 2HP maximum.

I also think your contributions to this site as a whole, both in suggesting ideas and in providing reasonable feedback on some of the posts, and indeed on encouraging other users to think carefully about whether what they have to say is a worthwhile suggestion, are truly noble and it's appreciated that new contributors like me know there are people who will give genuine consideration to their ideas instead of just upvoting whatever has a good title or whatever their mate posted

    Mr. Crawley,

I can see where you are coming from! I too think that such an option would be useful. However, I personally would find it much more fun to lose hearts after dying. That's part of the danger of it - there'd be a very real and scary penalty for dying! Better play very carefully if you want to have most of your HP to fight the dragon with ;)

Your comment about my contributions to the site as a whole is, quite frankly, wonderful to read. I really appreciate that you took the time to write it. You're more than welcome to add me on Discord if you want to keep in touch, by the way.

I do like the idea of a diminishing health bar, but I think (like InsideWindows26 was saying) an option to change the health lost (which could include none) would be a good idea, allowing players to change the difficulty of their challenge.

Also I would like to add you on Discord but, being rather unfamiliar with it, I don't know how :(

I whis too this modality. It's okay to have 3 total lives. At the end, the world ends. And I was generous. When I was playing java, I always put on this mode (one life). I don't understand why he's not here. The game experience totally changes, it's all more exciting, alive, adventure, dangerous, with a purpose.

William Miller That gamemode already exists: Its called Ultra HardCore or UCH, and you make it by deleting your world when you die and set the natrualRegeneration gamerule to false

Would this count for mobile and console as well?
