Fishing Animation

Since Mojang has added actual fish mobs into the game (cod, salmon, tropical, pufferfish), I think fishing should get an improvement.

My idea was that the fish mob could swim to the bobber, pull it under, and when you right click to reel it in, the fish could be attached to the bobber until you fully pull the line in, where it would be the fish item in your inventory. 

This is just a small suggestion that could make fishing a lot better, in my opinion.

    Well this is a great idea for realism but the problem is that you can catch a lot more than just fish in Minecraft. How would this work for catching, say, a bone, or an enchanted book?

    I forgot to put that in; the animation would only be for fish: cod, salmon, tropical, but for bones and inc sacs it would just be the normal animation. In a nutshell, the animation is only for the fish part, not any other items (junk or treasure).

    I love the idea, but what about items as well? Let’s say a piece of read is floating on the top of the water. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could hook the fishing rod to the ITEM as well? Just a suggestion

    Fish could have eaten the items, so when you reel in a fish there is a chance that you get an item as well. On the other hand, you could do what Bohan Zhang said and have it only be for fish. That way, if a fish attaches itself to it, you know that you will not get an item
