Parrots and Fall Damage (was: The ability for when parrots are on your shoulders, they reduce fall damage.)

I have noticed (thanks to a youtuber, ibxtoycat) that there is a bug where parrots glitch out and completely clear you from falling damage if they are on your shoulders. As this is a bug, it is VERY op! However, this does give parrots a useful function. Like chickens, parrots have wings. Chickens and parrots both do not take falling damage.
If 1 parrot is on your shoulder, it reduces falling damage by 25%.
If you have 2 parrots on your shoulders, it reduces falling damage by 50%. This would give parrots a useful function instead of doing impressions of other mobs. A small but useful feature in my opinion.

    That would be a neat feature, for sure.  But don't parrots come off your shoulder when you jump or fall?

    parrots would only come off if you either take damage or sneak right click straight up, and they would give you slowfall in love mode

    Brenn Boyer, that's not a good idea. Who would want to have to feed their parrots every time they wanted the fall damage protection?

    I do want to ask the author to address a couple of things:

    1) This feature would be sort of useless for as long as parrots fly off your shoulder every time you jump. What do you propose to get around this?

    2 ) Wearing armor, even unenchanted, protects you from fall damage. Wouldn't it be a good idea to nerf this in order to make the parrots less OP?
