Discount across multiple platforms

Probably not the right place to state this, but it needs to be out out there.

It is and absolute bend over that we are charged full price for Minecraft when we already own it on other platforms! I've aleady bought the game at least twice and I'd like to buy the game another twice. But I'll be damned if I'm paying full price. There should be at least a 50% discount. I would imagine it would be in the company's best interest too, with realms allowing your world to be played on almost any platform. Heaps of people would buy it on other platforms without batting an eye if they got it cheaply. Any money lost in the discount would be gained in the extra sales. Plus it would look good for the company.

    This would ba amazing.  It would encourage people who bought the game for one platform to buy it again for another one.  And it might entice people who might otherwise not buy it again to do so.

    I do like the idea, but I wonder, how could it be accomplished? They'd probably have to set up a way to link Xbox Live accounts with Mojang accounts, right? How feasible is that?

    They could do it in a similar way they did free Windows 10 edition from already owning Java. They just give you a code. They could have an option in all Minecraft editions for redemption codes for any platform. The only platform that could probably be except are the cheaper mobile versions.
