What if there was a chance to see a shooting star across the night sky, just to make the night seem so much more realistic and beautiful.

    That would be so cool!

    You could even add "events" where they could see many shooting stars, like a meteor shower!

    If you track the shooting star with a telescope, you would get an achievement, as well as you could track the star and it be made of something like a diamond block

    Maybe its just me but the spy glass and a pencil and a map you could draw the planet and record its surface, i'd love to see all kind of cubic gas giants and mysterious objects, perhaps also a new villager thats sells you a good uncraftable telescope, he would appreciate copper and do you many emeralds.. im ranting again..

    That is a fantastic idea, even adding other types of events in the sky so that "magic moments" occur is something that would add more value to the game and especially at night.

    I agree with this I want this in the game It would be aesthetically pleasing to me and I would love to look up t the minecraft sky at night and see one.

    yeah and it could even add more events, like when you see one you get an achieviment and you can only do certain new things under the brightness of a shooting star, and you could even go further and make tehm actually land somewhere sometimes, but even if it is just for the asthetics would be nice too.

    Please make this an event where a shooting star could crash giving you new materials or ancient debris and other old ores and materials.

    What if these shooting stars actually landed at a specific point in the world and appeared as a block or item? After all, shooting stars are rocks falling into the atmosphere. Perhaps these could be traded to the cleric for lots of emeralds, or crafted into weapons or armor.

    Definitely should be more than a cosmetic. Seeing one should give you an advancement. That’s a no-brainer. But it should play on that fact that people make a wish on a shooting star.

    Minecraft needs a sky update in all! More sky activity in all. Stars glowing, whisps of air maybe, whisps of comets etc

    and maybe that there is a posiblility that a star falls from the sky in the night like in terraria and can damage and absolutly destroy normal mobs like zombies and squeletons.

    Ooh! Would be cool if you could track the shooting star and get rare ores from the meteor. I'd be guessing a layer of ores, with iron at the top progressively getting more expensive per layer down with a ball of lava in the middle surrounded by stone to warn the player to stop mining. Could even play with Minecraft's lore and could be made out of endstone!

    Would it be just one meteor or a meteor shower? It would be better if the stars in Minecraft were arranged like real constellations. And an advancement stargazing where you should stare at the night sky for one in game night.
