We welcome feedback about menus, toggles on menus, buttons on menus, input devices (like touch controls and keyboards), and Minecraft’s interface. How do you play? What would make it better?

my friends and I would love to play Minecraft together, but some of us have Bedrock while others have Java, so we can't. I like the idea of a Java to Bedrock converter or something similar.

With the announcement of RTX on Minecraft I was so stoked to give it a shot until I found out it wouldn't be on Java. I do have the Bedrock edition but my friends all play on my Java realms server. We would all like to switch for all of the benefits of Bedrock... the cross platform play, the more optimized gameplay, the ray tracing.. etc. However, with three years of building and spending time on my java realms server we just don't want to start over from scratch.

I tried a third party converter but it broke too many things for us to feel okay with it. If there was a converter that just means more money as my friends would also purchase the Bedrock edition and I would switch over to paying for a bedrock realms server instead of Java.

We need this, it would merge the community more and allow people to play with others, and more people pay/it's cheaper to make one version of something and not two

Sadly that wouldn't work because world generation from java and bedrock are so different so one time java map is on bedrock, a lot of items will get bugged, like water.

I have a Minecraft Survival world that I started about a year ago on Minecraft Java Edition and I really want to convert it over to Minecraft Bedrock because the game is much smoother than java edition and there is controller support and at the moment I have to use Steam's add a none steam game thingy to use a controller on Java Edition... Minecraft Bedrock is a great game and I really wan't  to convert over my world without using 3rd party tools because they break so many things... Please do this Microsoft / Mojang! :)

I feel like Java has more features of crouching in 1.5 gap etc I feel Mojang has to bring all features in bedrock or combine :)

The technology to do so already exists, as you can transfer legacy console worlds to bedrock on Xbox, which are stored in the same format as Java worlds!

Its important, but we have a lot redstone java, which will not work in Bedrock after convert. For this case, need to have inside Bedrock Edition redstone java logic, which allow use redstone java in Bedrock Edition.

After this any programm converter will be more popular
