Some suggestion about reCaptcha in minecraft.net from a China player
Minecraft.net has fully started using reCaptcha. I know it is for prevent bots from do hacks.
I really agree with you(Mojang) in the security reason.
reCaptcha is available to access in most countries except China, because China has banned all Google services since 2014. And reCaptcha is one service of Google, used in many websites.
You can learn more about The China censorship of Google services: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2014_China_censorship_of_Google_services&redirect=no
The China censorship of Google services caused reCaptcha in minecraft.net could not load correctly in China(except using a VPN or proxy). And players live in China could not login or register Mojang account anymore(in minecraft.net) without VPN or proxy.
But now it is hard to find a available VPN or proxy in China.
Recently a China player has found a good solution, you can see it here(written in Chinese): http://www.mcbbs.net/thread-778175-1-1.html
The principle of this solution is: use recaptcha.net/recaptcha instead of www.google.com/recaptcha when loading reCaptcha.
recaptcha.net is the offical address of Google reCaptcha in China, and it's not banned in China.
I suggest you(Mojang) that using recaptcha.net/recaptcha when loading reCaptcha for China player, and China players can login or register Mojang account without anything(such as VPN).
I will thank you(Mojang) if you(Mojang) can really accept my suggestion.
Login Mojang account in minecraft.net without a VPN(you can see that reCaptcha could not load correctly):
Login Mojang account in minecraft.net with a VPN(reCaptcha loaded correctly):
