Community Challenges

This comes from a viewer suggestion from the Official Minecraft Livestream following a Aquatic Challenge set by Minecraft to place 10Million coral blocks and they will donate $100,000 to a nature/coral reef charity.

Like myself and a few other people, I really like this suggestion which I why I am posting it here (viewer said someone can post it).

Maybe have a challenge every month or so to engage the community like placing a certain number of blocks, killing a ridiculous number of Withers or something cool :p

This can also link to a charity network for players to give back like the coral reef charity Minecraft donated too.

    That's an OK idea, but where do you get the money, and the reef organisation could be the Great Barrier Reef Foundation ( the largest reef in the world ( in Australia))

    The reefs in the Philippines are being destroyed by China because they are mining those ancient giant clams due to the giant pearls inside. 😔 It looked horrific and no one can do anything because they are escorted by their Chinese navy/coast guards along who threatens anyone interfering despite a UN mandate that its not their territory. I only wish they'd stop destroying the reefs. Miles and Miles of ancient reefs are already completely destroyed. They'd hook anchors and haul the reefs until they are reduced to rubbles.. It is devastating.
