I think that there should be a new spider added into Minecraft. It is about the size of an endermite, and is grey, the same color as smooth stone. Looks real ugly, but in a cute way, you know, maybe not to scare the arachniphobic people, like me, too much. It is the smallest of the spider family, and can fit through the space created by a stair block when replacing a normal block in a wall. It is able to jump farther than a player, five blocks to be exact. Because it is so small, and real life jumping spiders don't make webs, it only drops 0-1 string upon death. It drops an alternative for leaping potions, maybe something like a spider leg (and, maybe, as an alternative for this drop, frogs in the swamps, dropping frog legs, but that is off-track). All other drops are the same as a normal spider. It spawns in the underground, and is more common than the cave spider, not as common as the normal spider, and they always spawn in swarms, kind of like slimes, but can spawn in any chunk. They are also faster than both other spiders, but have half the health, and don't do quite as much damage, but, like silverfish, slimes, endermite, etc., they easily overwhelm a player in large groups. It is possible to find a jumping spider spawner in place of a cave spider spawner in an abandoned mineshaft. This would be a good addition because we need new hostile mobs as well as peaceful ones, and more underground only mobs. Thank you for reading.
