    You can literally just download maps/resource packs for free from sites like mcpedl.com legally. No one is stopping you (in fact, the community managers follow mcpedl on twitter)

    I personally don't understand why this is a problem, because if you had the Java Edition of Minecraft, you don't even have to buy the Windows 10 Edition. Also, even if you didn't get a Windows 10 Edition key, there's really no point in buying that version of the game unless Mojang stops supporting it, which I don't see happening for a LONG time. If you love your maps and mods so much, just stick to the Java version. It's just that simple.

    Windows 10 and java version are not the same programming language...mods is based on java...
