When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

It should probably be an immovable object.  Even then, the SciCraft people would be able to figure out how to bring the blocks to it, probably using flying machines. x3

I do support the idea, absolutely.  It sounds like a great new use for the nether star.  And it's oddly appropriate, since the current best auto-block breaker IS the Wither.

Alternatively, a Sticky Piston with a Diamond block on its face should break the block the diamond is pushed into.

@karl smink That doesn't make any sense. The diamond block is harder, but the piston most likely isn't, so the sticky piston would break.

@henrik In a game with dragons, floating blocks, and cutting diamonds with a wooden table... You're really trying to go for realism?

Possibly using a shulker shell to make it? It's late game and expensive.

Bobbi Renzobi That is a good thought. Maybe shulker shells instead of wood in the piston crafting. It could be called the Shulker Piston or something like that.

I was thinking more along the lines of the 4 corners of the shulker shell destroying the block somehow, using multiple or not.

I would love this for auto miners

I like the general idea, but would modify it a bit as any automated block breaking does not need to be end-game as it's far less overpowered then some people might be afraid of since it still requires huge piston tapes to move the blocks in position for a relatively small output (in comparison to other farms).

For example, it could simply be that we are able to push any stone block into the top of the new stonecutter block.

After some time (e.g. a few random ticks on the stone block), the block breaks. Similarly a wood cutter could be created.

I like the idea of the stonecutter being involved. Though I think the stonecutter should be used in the crafting recipe and the piston should have the blade in its texture.

I think that would make for an awesome-looking block, that also isn’t too easy and not too hard to craft!

What I would like though, is if the ”breaker piston” would take the same time to mine blocks as an iron pick takes.

Piston + DIamond for crafting it

I would call it Redstone Spike and have it damage mobs and blocks when it extends. If triggered with an alternating current of redstone pulses, blocks will eventually break. If the block is mineable by an iron pickaxe, the block will fall to the ground as an item.

    It can be crafted using:

    Cobblestone Nether Quartz Cobblestone
    Cobblestone  Blaze Rod Cobblestone
    Cobblestone  Redstone Dust Cobblestone

Nether Quartz and Blaze Rod because access to the tool should be prevented until after the nether and they look like a spear. I did not want to use diamond or any sword in the recipe because it could suggest a power greater than an iron pickaxe. It should probably require 5 or more pulses to make a block break.

Possibly, a piston next to a beacon could do this.

Good idea, I voted it, but is it really a PUSHing thing (position) if it DESTROYS blocks? A reverse dispenser would do nicely in my opinion

The enderdragon can already be used as a drill if you dig deep down and spawn him using commands in that deep 1 block hole

Whith that we could make stone farms.

So I like all of the other very complicated ideas in the comments, but why not just use a dispenser/dropper like block breaker. This would also allow very easily a block placer, as destroying a block is just replacing it with air, so flip it around and replace the air with a block.

I suggest you craft it with a piston in the middle a nether star under it a dragon head above the piston and the rest shulker shells

Or they could add spike-blocks that destroy blocks that are pushed into them by pistons.

I think this could suffice... it may be a bit mid-game but it makes sense.

Maybe we could have Turtle Blocks... No not those turtles, the MECHANICAL BLOCKS THAT DO EVERYTHING :D!
If you give a turtle a pickaxe... It'll mine everything in front of it... Maybe it'll be an interactive entity (GUI) That can be placed in a minecart and if in a minecart mines every block (besides rails) where it's facing.

I think that is too expensive maybe something like one nether star the redstone and something else but drago head is too expensive

    This limits creativity.

We already have a block breaker: TNT. A piston-like block breaker would be too easy. And just making it very expensive is not a good fix, it's artificial and nonsense.

HenryCOOLini, TNT isn't really a viable option since its most of the time too expensive unless you are cheater/bug abuser. People advocating tnt are most of the time using duplication bugs and/or using bugs to reduce the blast resistance of blocks (pushing them in the right moment).

A destroyer mechanism should be a renewable and not an expensive resource like tnt. A piston destroyer would be a solution. Alternatively, they could make that creepers drop 100% of the blocks on explosion.

I like the idea but I think it needs to be difficult to get but not to the extreme of killing a boss. Personally I would like if it could be moved as well

Some cool ways of implementing this would be having spiked pistons, and you could only be able to use it to mine obsidian and high level stuff if you had diamond spikes.

Or if you used the dragon head which looks like a mouth devouring the air, put it to good use and make it devour blocks

Or give the Ravager mob an actual use and make it drop teeth or horns or something. With the teeth or jaw you could make toothed pistons.

Or make all of these immovable blocks and the normal pistons can push towards the block breaker.

Or make it like a grindstone block, but make the blade out of nether star. It would be a full block, but it looks like it isn't, so any block pushed onto it would go halfway into the block and meanwhile the block break animation would appear, or a more appropriate one (cracks going up from the position of the spinning blade) and then it would be mined and collected.

It should be something like immovable spike.

You push the blocks into it to break them, and then pick them with a hopper.
