When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Gold and Redstone

I think we should have a use for gold in Redstone. In real life, gold conducts electricity, so we should replace the stone in comparators or repeaters with gold, thus giving gold more use and adding an extra challenge to making complicated Redstone contraptions. Gold could also serve as a booster of sorts, added to certain Redstone blocks or recipes to make an upgraded version of that already existing device, like powered rails, but for repeaters, dispensers, or hoppers. Gold nuggets could also be used in a furnace or crafting table to make gold dust, which you can sprinkle into Redstone to make the Redstone signal more powerful for the block it's on. Gold encrusted pistons could make them extend more blocks.

    Maybe, partial support. I think that something like this may give gold some more uses, as it's not particularly useful. Not sure about the better pistons or stuff, though.

    Crafting 3 gold nuggets into 3 gold strings, and you have a redstone cable waterproof...but in gold. :D

    I don't like the idea of replacing the stone in comparators and repeaters. I see no reason to nerf redstone in survival - it doesn't see much more than basic use in survival as it is.

    I like your statement about how gold conducts electricity IRL.

    How about if you sent a redstone signal into a gold block, it would transfer it through other gold blocks, and once it finds another block that can be powered by redstone(for example, another redstone dust), the redstone dust will be activated?

    I like the idea of adding more uses to gold, but this is a bit much. This would add way too many more items to the game that just unnecessarily fill up inventory space.

    I am hopeful that a lot more can be done with redstone to include gold and copper to make advanced redstone circuitry. AKA redstone is the power, repeaters and  comparator provide some of the control. When adding Gold and copper you would be allowed to build a circuit onto a block or on its own to add to other more complex circuits
