In the Java edition, there are separate sliders in the audio menu for blocks, mobs, noteblocks etc. as well as a main volume slider.
I think it would be extremely helpful if the bedrock edition had such options, so as to be able to customize the volume of individual sounds depending on your preferences and sound system.
For instance, someone playing on their phone could lower other sounds and/or increase mob sounds to, say, hear creepers sneaking up on them, without having to raise their total volume. Or you could lower everything but jukeboxes and jam to some c418 without audio interruption.
I personally would very much appreciate being able to specifically choose certain sounds to raise or lower.

Yes! This is something I wanted since I first started playing pocket. I hate all the ambient sounds, but my only option is to turn everything off, including hostile mobs. If this was a thing I would turn everything to zero except hostile mobs.
From a standpoint of coding, I think there's a reason they have not done this yet. This isn't to say it's impossible.
So, basically this?
Dropped a vote! Totally needed. Was just about to make a post about this myself. Bedrock has a whole section for Sounds with TWO Sliders! Like C’mon! This is necessary! I’m glad this has a ton of votes! Let’s get more!
I'm happy I'm not the only one who would appreciate this. Some of the sounds in the game are really unbalanced to me. Breaking logs is so much louder than everything else. It makes the dangers of the daytime Creeper very real.
Yes! And generally better balancing is needed. In my opinion the dynamic difference between things close and far away is much too great, thunder is way too loud, and note blocks are much too quiet. I want to be able to hear note block signals I set up across my village over the sounds of doors and villagers that happen to be closer to me. I even set up double note blocks to try to amplify them, and they are still too quiet.
Additional volume controls would be even more useful now, with the new ambient sounds in the Nether Update. I honestly don't even know for sure if they are actually in the Bedrock betas right now, because of the lack of actual control over volume levels.
They just need to port over the Java sound files because the Bedrock sound files are crap. Why did they record different sounds? The Java sounds are fantastic, just use them.
I wanna be able to hear the lava in a cave nearby, but not that stupid piglin "hjornk"ing in my ear all the time
I need this so much
Personally, I feel the stereo quality is off on the Bedrock edition. In Java with headphones on its easier to locate a zombie moan just by hearing it. This is not as easy to do in Bedrock. For example, say you are digging straight down and hear a zombie. You are still in your little one block wide shaft but you know there is a cavern somewhere close. In Java its mush easier to figure out that the cavern is to your left and you can dig in that direction. However, in Bedrock and zombie sounds like its all around you and location the direction is much more difficult.
This would be awesome to have in Bedrock due the lack of configurations of sounds in game we only have "master" sound except for music but having this more detailed configuration IM HYPED if is implemented
I’m so happy to see that Mojang is drawing more attention to this. Having the same amount of control over sound that Java Edition has would be incredible!
I like the "Simple" layout for Bedrock Settings. But adding more options would be wonderful!
If we do get a more detailed list of sound settings, would there be a way to add an "Advanced Settings" toggle at the bottom of the Audio Settings page to show/hide the more specific sound controls? So that the game can keep it's simpler settings menu, but still have the detailed customization for those who want it.
The Java Sound settings also include Subtitles.
Subtitles are a setting sorely missed from the bedrock version of the game, as someone who plays without sound, Java lets me read when a [Creeper Hisses] but on Bedrock I only find out once I take the damage.Additionally, locating small caves full of mobs is very hard when there are lots of other sounds to distract you. On java you can isolate the hostile mob sounds (or use spectator mode) to find these spots, but on Bedrock we currently have no such option.
The same can be said for identifying caves by sound of flowing water or bubbling lava.
There's a myriad of reasons why a player might have need of these options, be it accessibility, troubleshooting, optimising audio for streaming/recording, or any other preference.
Increasing the number of settings is certainly useful.
and I would like you to turn up the sound of the noteblock to make it easier to hear. It's okay if the footsteps are smaller. I hope the default setting will be better in some update. In addition, and especially if this change goes through, I would want the video and audio settings to be higher up in settings. It makes sense that the game options are first, but I find myself changing video options much more than game options or controls.
i think this idea would be useful as long as the control settings itself isn't hard to control or understand. since the audience age range is so vast and different keeping the sound controls short and simple would be ebest
Mojang isn't able to set volume levels fitting to everyone so I think it'd be important to have detailed audio settings and be able to adjust sounds to our individual tastes.
Yeeeeeees as a bedrock player I wold love this
This is a must! I'm tired of using addons to disable sounds. please make this happen.
Please mojang i want subtitales please mojang make it true
I wish this audio settings is going to the game because I don't want to hear the noisy cow and sheep anymore
That would be amazing for farms you can have sounds turned on but you can’t here mobs
Also subtitle but maybe its hard to implement it on mobile because the screen are small or big
Good job guys you managed to get the votes over 1000 so we have a high change of getting these settings! Let's go!!!!!
