There are a couple ways I think the vanilla and new lighting mechanics could be improved when Vibrant Visuals is turned on. The lighting effects in Vibrant Visuals are awesome, but I think they clash artistically with the rest of the effects. Shadows, for example, are pixelated in Vibrant Visuals. Meanwhile, the bloom on light sources isn't. I think it would be incredible to implement a system that makes the lighting effects pixelated as well. Instead of just bloom's current soft gradient, colored pixels that gradually shift in transparency could be overlayed on top of the bloom. In a similar vein, the original lighting mechanics also clash visually with Vibrant Visuals. Torches produce very soft shadows that are still there in Vibrant Visuals, when the rest of the shadows are pixelated. It makes the shadows look broken, like some of the shadows are having aliasing problems. Perhaps in Vibrant Visuals, torch shadows could be pixelated as well.
