Since game drops will be more frequent than previously, new content will continuously be added that we want in our world. The idea is that when we update our world to a newer version, it regenerates all chunks that have not been touched by the player. Why and how is it different from current? Currently, only new undiscovered biome uses the new content, the issue is that new biomes become very far especially if you often venture in elytra far away. By regenerating chunks where the player never build or broke any block, it could bring back new content to much closer chunks to the players base while having barely any impact to the players game. (Could also be an option to keep like the current system for the player to choose, everytime they update to a new version.)
